The map below indicates the geographic “center” of the 14 Sun Region chapters. Every chapter has its own personality. Most EGA members choose to belong to the “face-to-face” chapter nearest their home, but some choose to belong to a more distant chapter or to several chapters. It’s not necessary for an EGA member to belong to a “face-to-face” chapter. EGA has a Members-at-Large category and we have a vibrant Internet chapter called Cyberstitchers
Biscayne chapter meets in Miami in Dade county
Canopy Oaks chapter meets in Tallahassee, in Leon county and draws members from Gadsen, Jefferson, Leon, and Wakulla counties
Central Florida chapter meets in Orlando, in Orange county and draws members from Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, and Seminole counties
Chain Stitchers chapter meets in Mt Dora, in Lake County and draws members from Lake, Marion, Seminole, and Orange counties
Duclay chapter meets in Orange Park, south of Jacksonville
Indian River chapter meets in Melbourne, in Brevard county and draws members from Brevard and Indian River counties. They describe their area as “Coastal Central Florida)
Neapolitan chapter meets in Naples, in Collier county
Sand Dollar chapter meets in Daytona Beach in Volusia country and draws members from the Palm Coast community to their north, Edgewater, New Smyrna Beach, Oak Hills ,Port Orange, and South Daytona communities to their south, and Deland to their west.
Sand Dunes chapter meets in Niceville, in Okaloosa county and draws members from Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Franklin, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Washington counties – essentially all of Florida between Pensacola and Appalachacola (or, as the chapter puts it: ’cola to ’cola)
Sand Hill Crane chapter meets in Brooksville, in Hernando county and draws members from Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, and Pinellas counties
Sarasota chapter meets in Sarasota
Sea Grape chapter meets in Fort Myers in Lee county
Suwannee Stitchers chapter meets in Trenton, in Gilchrest County and draws members from Trenton, Bell, and Chiefland (Gilchrest & Levy counties to their west); Crystal River and Homosassa (Citrus county to their southwest); Sebring and Lady Lake (Highlands and Lake counties to their south; and Gainesville, Newberry, and Jonesville (Alachua county to their east)
