Roses And Old Lace — 2 Day Class
Taught by Alison Cole

Roses and Old Lace features wild roses worked in Stumpwork and Goldwork techniques on a background of black de-lustered satin. A piece of Antique metal lace that I purchased in Paris runs through the  background of the design which is worked in Au Ver a Soie silks and English Gilt Metal threads.

Embroidery Technique: Stumpwork and Goldwork Techniques
Length of Class: Two Day (minimum 10 hours total)
Skill Required: Suitable for embroiderers of all skill levels (best suited to intermediate and above but beginners are welcome)
Design size: 15cm x 15cm
Kit Contents: Black de-lustered Satin, Quilter’s Muslin, Wool Felt, gold kid leather, Antique metal lace, Gutermann Polyester thread, Au Ver a Soie silk, English Gilt Metal threads, Mill Hill seed beads, wires, needles, instructions, and photo.
Student Supplies: 2 x 6” hoops, 10” hoop, White Dressmaker’s Carbon
Mechanical Pencil, Stylus or Spent ballpoint pen, Beeswax, Fine embroidery scissors, Scissors for cutting wires and metal threads, Cutting Pad and Clamp – optional but recommended

Location: Highland Avenue Fellowship Church – 1591 Highland Ave., Melbourne, FL

Maximum Class Size: 24 — class will be filled on a first come, first served basis

Class cost – $290 for all EGA members
